Booking Process

A non refundable and non transferable booking fee of £100 is required to secure your wedding date, This is redeemable against your final balance due on the wedding day. Booking fees can be paid via paypal or bank transfer. Please note your wedding date is not secure until this payment has been received and your payment receipt has been issued. 

All bookings take place in our Edinburgh Bridal Salon unless otherwise agreed at point of booking.

Minimum numbers are required for all mobile bookings. 

Changes to your booking. Once the original quote has been accepted additions to your party can only be added if time/resources allow and prior notice must be given. Changes to reduce the number in your bridal party or the services booked will still incur the costs payable.

 

Trials

Bridal trials are completely optional and are available every Mon - Thurs 9am - 5pm in our Edinburgh City Centre Studio. Trials are charged at £75 per person for hair and £75 per person for makeup. Once your trial date has been arranged your trial invoice will be sent which is payable in full prior to the trial date.

The remaining balance of your wedding hair and makeup is due 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. Any cancellations after this date are payable in full and refund should be claimed via your wedding insurer.  No changes can be made to your booking once the final invoice has been issued. 

Payment is accepted either via card payment, bank transfer or paypal. We do not accept cash on the wedding day.

 

Travel Charges

Travel charges apply for all bookings on location and will be calculated and included on your invoice once your booking submission has been received. 55p per mile from EH7 4JH is chargable plus a £50 location booking charge..

Weddings on location that require a journey start time earlier that 6am will incur an additional £50 per hr charge. 

Due to our large kits, parking should be provided close to the venue for our artists. If free parking is unavailable parking charges will be calculated and added to your final invoice.

Minimum party numbers/pricing applies for all bookings on location.

 

Cancellation Fees

Cancellation within 6 weeks of the date of your wedding are chargeable in full.  We will do our best to rebook your wedding date and if successful in finding another wedding party for your day then the final balance payment will be refunded less the original booking/trial fees.

If your wedding is sadly cancelled due to a situation outwith your control then unfortunately refunds should be pursued via your wedding insurer. 

In the unlikely event of an emergency or severe illness for your allocated wedding day artist, we will endevour to find a suitable replacement to carry out your hair and makeup. If in the highly unlikely situation a replacement cannot be found all monies paid to City Brides Hair & Makeup Ltd will be refunded less your booking fee. 

International Weddings & Events

Clients are required to cover all costs for travel and accomodation. Normal charges apply for the wedding day. A Non refundable deposit (deductable from final invoice) of £100 per day is required at point of booking.

Special Occasion Hair & Makeup Bookings

A deposit of £10 per person is required to secure your appointment and is redeemable against your final balance , deposits are non refundable

The final balance is due 48hrs prior to your appointment .

Cancellation within 48 hours of your appointments are chargeable in full
